Delia had stepped back now towards the door where Layla stood and Layla gave her a encorouging look a smile made its way onto her face but still hidden inside she could feel worry as well. "She'll be fine." Layla said as she looked towards Delia then back at the mare who now was breaking out into a sweat. if you like, we'd really appreciate it. Neither of us really have much experience with foals. Annie nodded her head, "of course I'll go right now, keep an eye on her breathing. If she breaks into a worse sweat put on a sweat sheet but don't get in her way. I'll be back soon." Annie said as she began to walk down the isle before Crystal mentioned the feeding of the horses. It was already turning dusk, "I'll dump the grain before I leave, they have hay in their stalls." Annie said before dashing outside and getting into the jeep.
Annie drove into the Greenridge Parking lot minutes later and ran into the barn she dumped the horses grain then checked in on the Broodmare barn where Legacy stood contently in her stall. She grabbed the foaling kit and hurried into the car driving off down the rode and pulling into Red Maple.

Delia nodded, listening closely to Annie's every word. Her shyness was forgotten as she stared worridly at the mare, and she barely heard Crystal mention something about going to fix them all something quick for dinner.."You guys haven't ate yet have you Ellie? I am gonna run up to the house and fix us all something quick while Annie is gone, it looks like we will be out here for awhile." Crystal turned and headed toward the house, stopping at the office and pulling out the chairs."Hey you two, come and grab tehse. At least you won't have to stand the whole time" Delia nodded, and reluctantly pulled her eyes off the mare, to hurry down the isle and grab one of the chairs, carrying it back to set it across from Secret's stall. She left the stall door cracked, so they could easily see in, and could get in quickly if they needed to. Secret had no intentions of leaving her stall, that was clear.

Layla stood by the stall door her eyes watched the tensed mare as she pased, she pursed her lips together biting at her lower lip. Annie gave instructions and she nodded her head worridly as she finally felt the cold weather conditions. She grasped onto her coat crossing her arms for warmth as she seached through her pockets and found a pair of gloves then found another one. She put the other pair out for Delia to grab from her hand as she slipped on the other pair. You guys haven't ate yet have you Ellie? I am gonna run up to the house and fix us all something quick while Annie is gone, it looks like we will be out here for awhile. Layla shook her head no and gave a thankful smile to Crystal. "Thanks," was all that came out of her voice as she looked back at the mare.
Hey you two, come and grab tehse. At least you won't have to stand the whole time. Delia brought her eyes away from the mare to retrieve a chair but Layla stood for a minute before the girl had come back to hurry over and grab the chair that Crystal had offered. She gave a wave to Annie who had already left before grasping onto the chair picking it up then bringing it over to where Delia sat next to the stall door which was crept open half way for them to see through. Layla unfolded it then sat next to it her eyes fixed on Secret. "If she lays down in a couple of minutes she'll be deffinately ready to give birth. If she continues and sweats more then we should put her blanket on." Layla said in a half whisper half speaking voice as if she was going to scare a deer if she spoke louder.
Annie drove up the drive and screeched to a halt, the lights of the barn where on as she jumped out of the car and grabbed the foaling kit, and sleeping bags from the back of the jeep. She shut the doors quietly before hurring along towards the mare barn and seeing the two girls sitting on the chairs watching the mare contently. Layla had noticed the older girl walk in and gave a quick smile before getting up and grabbing the kit from Annie's hands. "Hows she doing? Has she layed down yet?" She asked as she walked over to the door and saw the mare pacing. She sighed then looked at her watch. It had been 15 minutes now, she was breaking into a light sweat but for now it was fine. She looked around before adding, "where's Crystal?"

Delia nodded nervously, accepting the gloves gratefully. She sat in the chair, her eyes never leaving the mare as she paced back and forth, and pawed at her bedding. SHe heard Annie pull up in the drive, and sighed in releif that at least an adult was here now. Crystal was in the house fixing dinner, and her and Ellie didn't know nearly enough to know if something was going wrong or not."No.. She has paced alot." Delia told her, her tone of voice slightly nervous. Just as Annie began asking where she was, Crystal walked in the door. She had a big platter of sandwhiches in one hand, a stack of cups tucked against her, and a thermos full of hot chocolate in the other." Thought I'd get everyone something to eat, since we are gonna be here awhile.." Crystal told them, taking the seat Delia had pulled herself out of. Delia sat on the floor beside it, at an angle she could see into the stall easily. She took one of the sandwhiches, and accepted a glass of the nice hot chocolate. She sipped it slowly, inbetween bites of sandwhich...

Annie frowned nervously, even though she had seen hundreds of foals born from when she was a child all the way to an adult she still got nervous for the mares and was always wary on how the birth was coming along. No.. She has paced alot. Delia said and Annie was surprised that the girl had spoken so clearly and not in a whisper. She nodded her head as she took a seat beside the girls then turned around as Crystal walked in a tray of sandwhiches in one hand, and mugs and a thermos in the other. Thought I'd get everyone something to eat, since we are gonna be here awhile.. Annie smiled and got up brushing off her jeans before walking over and releaving Crystal of the plate of sandwhiches.
Layla hopped up from her chair as Crystal walked in and licked her lips before walking over and taking a mug of hot chocolate and also a sandwhich. "Thank you," she said perking up as she took the sandwhich from where Annie held it and smiled gratefully. She sat walked back over to the chair and sat down watching the mare, the four girls sat in silence as they watched the mare waiting for the delivery.
"Where do you keep the bedding? I'd like to put some more down near the walls for her." Annie said as she stood up placing her mug down next to the stall wall on the outside and looking towards Crystal then Delia. "You could do it if you wanted though Delia, after all its your mare." She said with a smile as she tried to lighten up the crowd of girls after all births were supose to be a fun event a new foal would be welcomed into the world and they would get to see it.

Delia gulped down her sandwhich, and led the way toward the room where they kept the feed. Inside, was a stack of bags, full of soft bedding for the stalls. She picked up one of the heavy bags, and carried it back towards the stall, hurrying to make sure Secret was okay. "Your welcome, there is more than enough for everyone." Crystal told her kindly, and watched Delia go and get some more bedding. Delia carelfully entered the stall, talking soothingly to the nervous mare. She opene dthe bag, and spread it out where Annie had said to, being careful to keep her movements slow so as not to startle her any more. "Figured the hot chocolate would warm us up. I have a microwave in the office in case we want some more." She told them as she quickly ate a sandwhich, holding her hands on her mug to warm them. The mare was sweating even more now, and pawing the bedding underneath her. She knelt half way down, before standing back up again and pacing, letting out a low nicker.

Annie and Layla watched Delia get up and go for the bedding. Layla had already finished her sandwhich and went to grab another one. "I can't believe how hungry I am, I didn't even know." Layla said as she took another one and thanked Crystal before taking her seat and taking another bite of the sandwhich. Layla picked up the mug on the ground beside her, taking a sip of the chocolatey warm drink and feeling the warmth of the mug make her feel warmer. Her hands were warming up little by little as she held it then set it back down for another bite of the sandwhich. Delia had returned now with the bag of bedding and brought it into the stall. Layla noticed the mares sweat marks and looked towards Annie who signaled for her to grab the sweat sheet she had. Layla hurriedly got up and went to the foaling kit where sure enough a sweat sheet had been folded up neatly. Layla grabbed it and walked hestitantly and slowly towards the shifting mare and Delia. "Do you want to, I'll hold her head." Layla said in a soft and soothing voice as to not startle the gyspy vanner.
Annie nodded her head as she took a bite of the sandwhich and laughed a little at Layla who took another one. "Your such a pig." She joked as she watched Layla take a bite then turn around a smile on her red rosie face. She smiled back then looked towards the sweating mare as she knelt down then back up off the bedding. Layla had turned around and Annie knew why, she nodded her head for Layla to grab the sheet and watched as Layla hurriedly went to the kit and grabbed the sheet from the kit.

Delia nodded, and took the sheet from Ellie, and waited while she held Secret;s head. Delia rubbed her softly, and talked soothingly to the mare as she rubber her, and slipped the sheet over her, buckling it into place. Her tail had already thankfully been wrapped, Delia had taken to wrapping it every night. She rubbed the mare a moment, before she seemed to get more nervous, and stepped away, signaling for Ellie to do the same. The mare began pacing again, and this time when she knelt, she laid herself all the way down. She laid there for a moment, before standing up again, and shifting around. A moment later, she laid herself down again, breathing much more heavily now.

Delia took hold of the sheet as Layla moved towards the mares head cooeing to her soothingly as to not startle her. She grasped onto the mares halter lightly so she couldn't move while putting the blanket it place. Delia had slid the blanket over the mares back and was buckling it as Layla saw the mare roll her eyes in pain, she sighed as she felt bad for the poor mare and put a hand on her sweaty neck trying to soothe the pain. "Easy now, good girl." She said in a low voice then back off slowly when Delia was done. She paused at the door as the mare laid down fully then back up again she paced a couple steps before laying down fully and begining to breathe more heavily now. She looked on half excited half worridly as she gave the mare her space and retreated back to her seat. Annie was already heating up the bucket of warm water and soaking a wash cloth in it while it heated the cold waters. It would be for cleaning up the foal after if the mother left out any spots.

Delia followed her out of the stall, and sat just outside the door, watching the mare closely as she rolled onto her side, and back onto her stomach again. Delia glanced nervously at the other three, and then back toward the mare. She was breathing very heavy now, and holding her tail away form herself. Delia was really getting worried now, and it took everything she had to stay put.. She wanted to help the mare, and was uncertain because she didn't know of anything she could do.She sighed, adn watched closely. The mare had her head toward them, and the rest of her towards the wall. Otherwise, they would be able to tell that the foal was coming.. Slowly, but it could be seen if you looked closely enough behind her. Delia clutched her hands together nervously, and watched as Secret rolled again, This time they could see the foal, making it's way into the world.

Layla watched the mare closely, her eyes never leaving her as she rolled then layed up. Her eyes showed pain as she pushed out the foal inside her. Her tail was moved to the side away from her rump now and Layla could just make out the front hooves of the small infant foal inside making its way out into the world. Layla beamed as she clutched onto Delia's hand and watched as Secret got up then back down and finally the head of the small foal could be seen. Layla smiled towards Delia relief over whelming her. Delia seemed concerend and worried still so she nudged her playfully trying to get her to be happy, half the pregnancy was over now.
Annie looked into the stall a smile formed as she saw the small foal coming to life. She quickly drew out the rag from the kit and also some blue gloves, if any germs were introduced to the foal at such a valnurable age it could cause sickness. If the mare needed it she would use them but so far Secret was doing wonderful. Annie walked over to the group of girls next to the stall and watched as the mare moved and they could fully see the head of the foal.

Delia clutched Ellie's hand, adn watched the mare. A small smile was forming as she saw the foals head, and then, after just a few more moments, the foal was out. Secret was breathing hard still, and covered in sweat. But she wasn't in any more pain. She turned and looked behind her, nickering softly as she struggled to move, and reach her foal. She positioned herself better, and began nuzzling the foal, helping it break open the bag. The foal struggled, and broke it's way out. It was a dark brown color, at least it looked to be. It was wet, and clearly just born.Delia smiled to herself as she saw the foal was okay, and breathing. Secret was breathing better, slowly and surely she was catching her breath, and making a small nickering sound at her foal, who responded by lifiting it's head, and looking up at it's mother..

Layla's smiled deepened as she watched the foal fall out of his mothers womb and into the world. Secret's motherly instincs helped the foal open the sack that he had lived in for the beginning of his early stages and sat limp on the ground, his little head raised to search for his mother. Secret licked the foal making soft nickering noises that was only meant for her and her foal. Layla had forgotten how cold she was as she set down the mug of hot chocolate and watched the dark brown from the looks of it, foal sit in the cozy bedding.
"Its so cute." She said as she looked on at the small heap of a foal. She wanted to know what its markings were like, what color it was, and what the gender was but she was sure Delia was wondering even more. Annie had stood behind the girls as she looked towards the infant foal and its mother who was carefully licking it clean. Annie smiled then noticed the weather had dropped while they were waiting for Secret to give birth. The rag in her hand was big enough to rest over the foal when it would start to stand up, but for now Annie knew that they should give the pair some space.
"Why don't we all go inside for a little and give them some time? We can come back out in a few minutes or so to see how she's doing." Annie suggested as she looked at the mother and foal and smile that was half tired but also meaningful as well came to her facial expression.

Crystal nodded, smiling happily as she watched the healthy looking foal lay beside it's moher. She picked up the platter, and began picking up mugs. Delia pulled herself away from the stall, which she shut the door carefully on, and reluctantly began helping Crystal pick things up. She followed Crystal out of the barn, and they quickly closed the door, to keep out the draft. Crystal led the way across the yard, and into the house. She gestured to a row of hooks, specially made to hang jackets on."Make yourself at home." She told them, gesturing toward the living room. She shrugged her way out of her coat, and hung it on the wall, before taking the dishes into the kitchen. Delia was reluctant to remove her own coat, but did so anyways. The house was very warm, and cozy as always. She led the way into the living room, after removing her shoes. She took a seat on the couch, which had a western design to it. The whole house had a country, horsey feel to it.

Layla picked up her mug and waited for Delia who was shutting the door gently behind to keep the mare and foal inside. Layla smiled as she looked on at the foal and kept stride with Delia who looked very reluctant to leave the stall. Annie on the other hand picked up the mugs that had been left and plates and followed Crystal inside, Make yourself at home. She said and pointed to the coat racks. Annie felt a little uncomfortable in anothers home but forgot about it as she looked around the house that reminded her somewhat like her own. She shrugged off her jacket and removed her shoes before stepping inside the horsey western designed home and walked in after Crystal.
Delia and Layla had followed behind and Delia sat down on the couch. Annie stood in place then remembered the mug in her hand and walked over to the kitched where she set the mug in the sink, Layla walked over to where Annie stood and handed her her mug before returning into the living room and sitting on the other side of the couch next to Delia. "The foal is so adorable." She said trying to bring up conversation, "she did really good too." Layla knew Delia probally already knew but she wanted her to talk.

Delia nodded, and smiled at Ellie, before adding."Yes. The foal is very beautiful. I am proud of Secret." She told her/ All shyness was gone for the moment at least, with just the two of them in here, discussing Secret's foal." I am glad you were here to share it." Delia told her, folding her legs under her. She was warm now, her dark blue sweater hung down over her hands, and her thick blue jeans nearly covering her whole feet. Crystal took all of the dishes, and placed them in the sink, turning the hot water on. It would be a few minutes before it got hot. She turned, and spotted Annie with more, and let her place it in the sink. "I am glad that went as well as it did, I would have hated to see Delia lose either the mare or the foal. When morning is here, I'll give the vet a call, unless you think I should call him now." Crystal told her, turning back toward the sink and beginning to wash the dishes.

A friendly smile welcomed her as she began to pick up items as she strolled down the isle. She waved to the clerks then began to pick out little items for herself and also items to give to the stables hands, her sister, friends, and her boyfriend Clayton for christmas. She only had a week to go before Christmas was here and then she wouldn't have time to gather the gifts. Generic Hydrocodone 10/500mg
