Black dreads fell down her back like ropes, they were black or a very dark brown. Pink and red stained the chosen threads as they mingle with leaves and branched of green and bark. A black dress bounded tight around the waist while it flared at the ends and on the arms. A cord of crystals circled both of her big toes, then came up and circled her ankles like all gypsy shoes did. Her bare soles stood on one of the thick living branches, a wind blew her dress and hair while she grasped the tress limb above her with her right hand. Her eyes, thickly eye lined and grey eye shadowed where close as she murmured sayings to the tree and herself that only the closest to her would hear. Her skins stayed light, almost pale but also olive echoed through her spotless skin. A piercing marked her lower lip and on her right ear six rings lined the edge. Her left with only two. A tattoo on her left wrist stayed that uncoloured, green-black of a tree, the left of the tree a sun, the right a moon. Engraved within the tree was a pentagram, the same that was worn around her neck. In her left hand she clutched a dagger, otherwise known as the athame.
The tree moved majestically with the wind under the moonlight. Stars shining down and beckoning watchers to admire them. Whinnies from horses were distant, and a couple of dogs played from afar. The two dogs stopped and watched the girl for awhile, then ran off in pursuit of a rabbit. A seemed silent except the sounds of the earth and her deep, even breathing. Why was this lonely vixen out so late?

The 19 year old blinked back sleep as she swung up onto her horse's back. She had no tack, except a worn lead rope she used as reins. She pressed her bare feet against the Thoroughbred mare, and the mare broke out into a trot. Come on, Alida... The girl whispered. Romani she was, always will be. Nothing would make her join those gorgios. Nothing! Not even that boy her father wedded her to at 15. No, he joined the gorgios, so she left him. Yes, she was breaking a law of the Rom, but surely joining the gorgios was just as bad?
Ellie presses her feet against Alida once more, and Alida broke out into a canter, then a gallop. No, we're not flying tonight, darling Alida Ellie whispered once again to her mare. Alida instinctively slowed to a canter. She and Ellie understood each other better then most so called horse people understand their own horses. Ellie began to slide back and forth to the gait of Alida. Suddenly Alida let out a shrill whinny. Woah, what is it, Alida? Ellie murmured softly, looking around. Over there, through the trees! Was that the thing that upset Alida?

Chocolate, almost black eyes suddenly shot out of their closed trance as a horses whinny pierced the crisp, night air. The pale girl bent her knees and dropped her arm to grip the trunk instead of the upper branch. Her black dress drifted to the branch she was standing on and covered her gypsy shoes, the waist of her dress had a black material around it, not flowing but just holding there, the girl quickly slipped the athame into the back of it and she lightly stepped from branch to branch till she dropped quietly to the ground. Woah, what is it, Alida? the voice of a female floated towards the vixens pierced ears. She blinked and tip toed around the tree so that the female couldn't see her.
She couldn't decide what to do, if she ran the girl could just catch up with her horse. If she stayed there the girl would come about her and ask all sorts of pesky questions. She made up her mind and crept towards a further away tree, suddenly an crow squawked as it flew away and she jumped. The athame fell to the ground and hit a stone with a loud clink. She winced, snapped.

Ellie looked down at the puppy trailing after her, hardly able to keep up now, the poor pup was so tired. Sorry, Sheba. I forgot you were there. Ellie whispered, slowing Alida. She slid off, and grabbed the small puppy. She mounted, with the puppy, and placed Sheba in front of her. Her head snapped around, towards where she thought she had seen a figure. She had heard a stone clink.
She presses Alida into a canter. She was heading towards where she has heard the sound. She looked around for a sign someone had been here. Pesky gorgios... I bet it's just one of them setting yet another trap for us Rom. She muttered angrily. Gosh, they beat their animals, and were cruel to even one another. If one of their pesky horse dealers lay one eye on Alida, she'd be stolen by the time the day was out. May they pay for their shame... she muttered a traditional gypsy curse.

The pale girl listened, she watched cautiously as the female murmured to a dog and put it upon the saddle. She smiled, atleast this person wasn't cruel to the Horned God's creations. She slowly bent down and picked up her athame, the blade winking under the moonlight that peeked through the sycamores leaves. She quickly stuffed it under her waist band again and grabbed at her skirts half way down. Revealing her gypsy shoes, the vixen began to run away from the cantering horse. Her bare soles becoming numb on the thin layer of snow from winter's cool ways. She cursed as she tripped, but she going, aware that the girl may have turned and began to catch up easily with the vixen.

Ellie's eyes flickered towards movement near the trees. So there IS someone here... She muttered, and cantered after her. Why was she running off? Ellie saw the girl trip, and felt a pang of pity, gorgio or not. Hey, what are you doing out here? she called, her Italian accent easier to hear in her loud, clear voice.
She cantered after the girl, swaying easily. She caught up quickly. She stopped slightly in front of the girl, and looked her up and down. Sizing her up, some would say.

Hey, what are you doing out here? The voice of the girl came and the vixen stumbled, dropping her dress and thudding to the ground. She looked up at the female that now sized her up through accusing eyes upon her high horse. The vixen scrambled up and patted the loose snow off her skirt. Her dark eyes scanned the animal, and the girl. Her waist band moved and the thud and clink of the athame fell to the ground again. The vixen quickly picked it up, attempted to put it back and gave up. She rolled her eyes and folded her arms, clutching the sharp blade in one hand.
I could ask the same thing.....but I won't. It's a public place and I have my reasons.

I could ask the same thing....but I won't. It's a public place and I have my reasons. Ellie rolled her eyes. Just another gorgio. Not worth to bother about. Reminded her of Fishface, that constable back in Italy.
You remind me of Fishface, the last constable that tried to catch my gypsy tribe. Never succeeded, he didn't even know the places where we camped often.
Ellie said suddenly. She grinned, and slid down from Alida. Sheba gave a whimper and tried to slide down too. Ellie caught her. No, Sheba, you're much to tired to exploring. She murmured to the puppy.

You remind me of Fishface, the last constable that tried to catch my gypsy tribe. Never succeeded, he didn't even know the places where we camped often. The vixen raised her black eyebrows and then pierced corner of her lip lifted slightly. Gypsy tribe? Now she's seen everything.
Fishface is a very...peculiar name I say so myself. The gypsy tribe never the less wouldn't be caught on their own grounds, idiots. I admire they're speed and wisdom.
She said thoughtfully, droppingher hands to her sides and letting the dagger flash under the moonlight. Her dreads poured down from her tie to the loose waist band that had bothered her so much in her escape.
Sheba choses to get down, if Sheba is tired Sheba will sleep. Dogs known their own limits.
She said, gazing at the puppy. It was a nice thought that the girl was trying to keep her pup healthy but humans know when they're tired and so do animals. Of course if the animal still tries to play then it must not be exhausted.

Ellie grinned widely. She shook her head.
Fishface was the name my cousins and I made up for the constable. He had some ordinary, boring name, really.
She said.
They've been caught many a time around our usual camping places. Many times people of my tribe were executed simply for being romani.
She said, shortly indeed. Sheba was wriggling back into her position on Alida's back, and Ellie raised her slight hand and patted the young puppy.
We have a long way to go, tomorrow. I'd never settle down in the same place, even if the man I was wedded to joined the gorgios.
Ellie said, dryly.
((That sucked.))

She looked on, listening to all the lyrics produced from the girl infront of her. Gorgios? She had never payed that much attention to gypsies so she didn't know an awful lot about them. The vixen smiled, then sighed.
Well, my name is Vania. Gorgios?
[[Man that was horrible!!!]]

Well, my name is Vania. Gorgios? Ellie felt like slapping herself on the head. She didn't even know one of the simplest words of the gypsies!
You people who are always trying to put us gypsies in gaol, and never move about heaps.
Ellie explained.
And I'm Ellie.

You people who are always trying to put us gypsies in gaol, and never move about heaps. Suddenly Vania glared at her, a wind blew through and her witchy dress flapped to the side while her dark eyes remained on Ellie. She clutched the dagger more tightly, the white of her knuckles showing.
You people? What makes you think that I'm one of them? Don't judge me before you know me, I call those people stereo types.
She hissed under her breath, loud enough to hear. She hated being classed as something when one had no knowledge of them before. Saying that to her while she held an athame seemed to be just asking for trouble. The wind continued to blow harder while she stared, her gaze lightened abit and the wind cooled slightly.

You people? What makes you think that I'm one of them? Don't judge me before you know me, I call those people stereo types. 'Well, sor-ry. I really would fly into a temper if I didn't understand where she was coming from' Ellie though in annoyance.
Sor-ry. It's not my fault that almost all gorgios are like that. I've never seen a gorgio who isn't like that. So because of that, there's a lot of young gypsies out there that thinks that, and I'm one of them. I guess gorgios must actually be people who aren't gypsies.
Ellie said sharply, and not at all graciously.

Vania sighed, remembering how her family was against her. She blinked and returned her gaze on Ellie, the wind now stopping.
Well I'm not a gorgio, I have never tried to go against gypsies, nor put them into goal. Just because someone isn't a gypsy doesn't mean you have to suddenly assume that they are a horrible gorgio. The world doesn't world like that grasshopper.
She said grasshopper teasingly, a glint in her dark eye. Snow started to lightly come down upon her, the ice cooling her and she thought about how angry she had become. Why? She knew why. Because they way Ellie strereo typed had just reminded her how her parents used to stereo type her, eventually abandoning her.

Do you have wax in your ears!!! I said only seconds ago that gorgios were people who aren't gypsies!
Ellie cried. 'Is she deaf or something?' She thought.

Vania rolled her eyes. So just because she wasn't a gypsy she was a gorgio? Do you have wax in your ears!!! I said only seconds ago that gorgios were people who aren't gypsies! She flicked her hand away, then crouched on the snow. Vania tightened her waist band and looked up.
Whatever.
She sighed as the vixen stuffed the athame in her side. Her dress fell to one side and revealed her gypsy shoes. All made out of her favourite crystals, they were blue and purple, with twists of rose quartz throughout the pattern. Then she stood up, roughly grabbing at her dress and turning around.
Well I need to go to deal with my horse, I would like to stay and chat but my car takes awhile to heat up and I don't enjoy spending a night shivering my toes off.

Well, bye then.
Ellie said, turning Alida around. She lead her horse over to a log. She stepped on the log, then swung onto Alida's back. She settled down into the saddle.

Vania began to walk her trek back towards the car, she sighed, that was really a close one. She wasn't one to tell about that she was a witch. Let alone, be caught when she was finishing a ritual. Lost in her own thoughts Vania didn't notice when her athame dropped out of her skirt infront of her bare toes. With one step she stood only the newly sharpened blade, and screamed. A scream that could be heard for miles as the blade sliced into her skin, in was cut so the hurt was a flap off the bottom of her foot.
GOD DAG NAMMIT OW OW OW!!!! She wailed, in the distance Ellie's horse was slowly walking away. She summoned all of her pain and used in in her shaking voice. ELLIE!!! COME QUICK! She screamed again. Ripping her her skirt with the blood stained athame, Vania screamed out to Ellie again as she began to tightly wrap her foot and put pressure on it. Wincing with every twist.

Ellie's eyes widened as she heard a scream coming from the direction Vania had been. Another scream came, telling her to come. Ellie swung Alida around and galloped her towards where the scream was coming from. I know I said we wouldn't fly tonight, but please, Alida, fly for me now! She murmured to her galloping horse.
Ellie started when she saw Vania there, wrapping her foot. What happened? She demanded.
((Next post, herbs shall come. Just need to check what herbs would help something like this. Lol.))
