Vania Skelsey backed up in her driveway, she rolled down her window and ducked her head out, watching the float she towed. She nudged the pedal and reversed it swiftly into the garage she had especially bought the house for, the float fit in snugly. After turning the engine off and opening the door, the seventeen year old pulled out to suit cases where she had kept her stuff. Suddenly something small, multicoloured with brown, black and white, darted between her legs. She gasped and watched as the two month old beagle began running around the front, hoping he wouldn't escape through the driveway. But he just sniffed and bounded up to her door, his short tail thumping impatiently.
I'm coming! Just let me do this.
She laughed, then grunted as she held the two suitcases and locked her door all in one. Her fingers slipped and she dropped a suitcase, it popped open and her clothes spilled out on the driveway. Bugger. She mumbled as she tucked a pink dread behind her ear and stuffed a bunch of jodhpurs and t-shirts into the case. She clicked it shut then lugged the gear to the door.
The beagle scratched at the paint and barked in little yips over and over. Vania unlocked the door, noticing the pup before he scampered into the house to claim a couch that had already been moved inside. Alrighty, The olive skinned girl said as she dumped her bags into the biggest bedroom with a queen bed and then wandered into her kitchen. She leaned on the stone bench and looked around. The house would have been empty if her Aunty wasn't such a freak on keeping Vania civilised. She almost had a heart attack when she found out her niece had been sleeping with a puppy in her car.
Thank you, Aunty.
Vania murmured as she scooped up the pup that scratched at her heels and stroked it between it's velvety ears.
