Delia nervouslytapped her fingers against the door panel of the truck, while CRystal, who was dirving, grinned consolingly at her. Pulling the truck into the parking lot beside the trails, Crsytal quickly shut off the truck, and urged Delia to get out..
Delia was deeling nervous, and Crystal could understand why. After her horrible past, the girl could get so nervous around others...
Delia climbed out of the truck, and hurried to the trailer, where Crystal's mare, Sierra, was eagerly waiting to be unloaded. Crsytal had offered to let Delia ride her, since Sierra really needed the ride, and Crystal really needed to spend some time teaching her filly, Navajo, some ground manners, which included trailer loading, the filly's greatest fear..
Delia opened the trailer doors, and forgot her fears for the moment as she untied the mare, and led her out of the stal.. Crstl was already pulling her tack out of the small tack room at the front of the trailer. Delia ted the mare to the side of the trailer and quickly retrieved the blanket, placing it on the now prancing bucskins back. The mare was quite beautiful with no white markings and such dark black socks. She eagerly held still long enough for Delia to slip on her blanket, and then the slightly heavy western saddle, though it was light for western tack. Buckling the girth quickly, She took the bridle Crystal was holding out for her, and slipped the bit into the mare's mouth after removing her halter and lead, and placing it in the saddle bags that were hanging from her saddle horn, speaking encouraging words to keep her still while she buckled everything.
Crystal waved to her, and stood nearby as Delia mounted the mare, and let her trot slow circles around the parking lot, as she awaited her friend's arrival. It seemed so weird to her, to say she had a friend. She was so shy, and it was all because of her past.. So often she wished she could erase it, but nothing she did could change what happened.. She wondered how this girl would like her, if only she knew the real reason she was so shy..
