Snow! Bloody snow. 2 and 1 half feet of the nasty stuff. sure, it was pretty to look at, but from indoors! With a nice hot cup of coffee! With a good book! And a fire. Not tromping around in it before the sun was up.
Not that Tim was an angry character, he was just better of in warmer weather. He had pale skin and little body fat to start with, and he shivered violently, to the point where he could scarcely hold still enough inside the truck to open the door. He slipped the keys from the ignition and scurried into the barn, where it wasn't much warmer, but slightly. It was dark, as expected, but he could see with his pale icy blue eyes pretty far down the isle.
He stalked silently down the isle, close to the doors, and curious horses stuck their heads out in his wake. He always smelled so fragrant, it was hard to mistake. He was an add mix of cinnamon, a warm smell, and peppermint, which was chilling. And it seemed to work, with him at least. His very smell was enticing, and it was hard to believe everyone could keep their hands off.
Since Captain was in the main barn, and didn't require a trek across the frozen acres, he decided to visit him first. He pulled open the half-door, and upon searching the isle quickly, buried his face in Cap's smooth, thoroughbred fur. He was so warm that Tim didn't want to move. But with an impatient snort, Captain pulled him from his fur, and flicked his ears back.
"Mmmm...just a minute more, please...?" he mumbled into his neck.
Capricio had had enough of standing around. He wanted out NOW. With a quick motion, he whipped his head back and bit the most exposed place he could find...Tim's lower back, where from leaning forward, skin was exposed. He sunk his teeth angrily into the pale ivory flesh, and withdrew, squealing.
Tim immediately let go, shouting angrily and jumping back. His stormy eyes were flashing now, his stance crouched like a predator. Capricio, shied in regret, in terror, waiting for Tim's wrath. The boy put his hand to his back, and drew back, his fingers bloodied. He gasped, and for the first time, he felt the stinging, sore pain.
"Ahh!! My back! BOLLOCKS TO YOU, BLOODY HORSE!" he yelled, gesturing wildly, and stumbling out of the stall. At least he wasn't color anymore.

Annie took a sip of her morning hazelnut coffee, the wave or warmth enveloped the inside of her mouth and withdrew down her body leaving warmness in her. She smiled and cupped the mug in her hand more to grasp the warmth before heading outside. I should of probally baked something. She thought as she walked over to the fridge and looked through it to see if there was anything worth eating at 4:30 am. Layla was still upstairs asleep and probally wouldn't be out till around six. Annie pulled back a strand of her blonde hair that had fallen into her face and released the mug on the granite table top of the old farm house kitchen. It was newly furnished and nicely built but still had that old farm house theme to it that made it extra cozy in the house.
Annie took her jacket off the hook in the mud room just outside the side door. She could already feel the coldness escape into the house as she quickly took it and slipped it on. It was cold but she was smart enough to had bought it last week when she went to pick up presents. She slipped on her boots and went back into the house grabbing the mug off the table before returning to the mud room and shut the door behind her, conrad was sitting on a chair in the mudroom and began to shake his white and black tail slowly as he saw Annie. She smiled and rubbed behind his ears. Conrad stood half way up and stretched on the chair giving a yawn before jumping off the chair and placing his paws on Annie's stomache.
"Morning to you too." She said a she looked down at the dogs freckled black and white face. Conrad sneezed and followed her out the door into the knee deep snow. "I should of probally shoveled this huh bud?" She said with a laugh as Conrad trotted along behind her in her footprints inplanted in the white powdery snow. A truck had been parked in the snow covered parking lot and Annie reconized it as Tim Malark's truck. He owned three of the horses that were boarded at the farm. The barn light was turned on in the Main barn so Annie went towards the middle of the three barns and opened the doors wider, the coldness from outside came down a little as she felt the warmth of the barn.
Ahh!! My back! BOLLOCKS TO YOU, BLOODY HORSE! Annie walked forward a little faster hearing the voice come from Caprico's stall, one of Tim's horses. She put a finger tip to her seeing blood and a bite mark on his back. She walked faster down the isle dropping her hands as she looked towards Tim. "Are you alright? What happened?" She responded as she looked in the stall were Caprico was in the back and his auds were pinned. She frowned as she looked down at Tim's back again. "Follow me." She said her voice never leaving its calm state, she grasped onto his hand and walked towards the office door. The glass window only revealed darkness into the room as she rummaged around her pockets for the key. She let go of Tim and took the key out placing it in the slot and twisting it around until it unlocked and she turned the knob, pushing it harder than need be because of the annoying effort it took to open it up. They needed to get a new on sometime.
She flicked on the light which showed a desk to her left where a wheely chair was behind it. She had left her laptop on the desk last night when returning to the house and she had put it in its case. Pictures and ribbons hung on the walls and a tv sat on a stand in the corner where a couch was put across from it. Annie walked towards the desk and went on the other side disapearing for a moment as she searched for the first aid kit.

Tim reeled as pain shot up his back, pricking along his spine. That bite was hard and it had ripped a chunk out of him. He held back a howl, gray eyes a storm of rage, hurt, and pain. He heard footsteps down the isle, and he whipped his head around, now embarrassed. They're know he wasn't American now, what with 'bloody' and 'bollocks'.
A bright red flush crept up into his face, and he hid his bloodied hand behind his back. "Er...um...yes, fine, just fine. Just a little nibble, yeah?" he bluffed, clutching at his raw gash.
He was startled when she grabbed his hand, and he dumbly staggered down the hall after her. The cold air across his back made the cut burn, and he writhed as he followed her, but kept his hand limp so as not to cause alarm.
She fumbled with the lock, and his blue-gray eyes watered, now realizing the cold, and the full pain, he gasped, but cut it off by biting his lip. He started to shake again, his hand tremoring in hers. He stood numbly in the door while she disappeared from sight.

Annie finally pulled out the box from underneath and layed it on the desk. She waved a hand for him to come in, it was much warmer in here as there was heat. She unlatched the box and searched through it for some anti infectant and a bandage. She found what she was looking for and placed them on the desk. She was used to these kind of things, after living with horses all her life you have to aspect a good beeting once or twice. Little kids in lessons who've fallen off, riders getting bitten by a rescue horse, her parents getting into riding accidents and mostly her of course she couldn't imagine riding her first pony without falling off with a face plant when getting on.
"I found a bandage. How bad is it?" She asked as she looked up at Tim who still stood in the door way. She smiled and shrugged her shoulders "I'm really acting like a mom huh?" She gave a laugh as she came around the desk and left the items on the counter next to the laptop. She sat down on the sofa then looked back up at Tim who was in obvious pain. "Hurry up and get in before you let the heat out." She teased as she pulled down her jacket then sat up from the sofa and walked back over to the bandages.
A nicker came from down the isle and she frowned, the horses still needed to be fed. It was a little too cold to put them out this early so they'd be in till around 6 anyways. They would live. The only reason she came down this early anyways was for business matters of the stable that needed to be run around here.

Tim flushed a bit and shut the door behind him, shuddering as cold air swept in around his legs. But the room was nice and warm, and he soon controlled his temperature. The medical supplies made him slightly wary; he didn't like the doctor, but then again, who did?
He still held his hand to his back, which was still wide open and blood still trailed from the gaping sides. He doubted a bandage would do it, and as much as he hated to think it, it was probably what was necessary - stitches. He winced at the unsavory word.
"Ah, I'm not going to lie, Annie, it's huge. I dunno...it might need stitching." he broke down, taking his completely bloodied hand from behind his back. The back of his pants and both his shirt and jacket were soaked with blood: even he didn't realize it'd bled so much.
"Nah, I don't mind mothering at all. My mom never was the "mothering" type." he said, managing a smile.
He heard the horses impatient nickers and flushed even more, god, why did he have to disrupt the whole morning? She shouldn't even be helping him. He could drive himself...or could he?

[Sorry it took a while]
Annie watched him walk in and close the door, and she noticed him blush as she heard the nickers. She smiled and waved a hand nausilauntly to show it was no big deal. "They'll get fed, Layla will be down soon." She said referring to her younger cousin who lived with her. Ah, I'm not going to lie, Annie, it's huge. I dunno...it might need stitching. Annie shifted her jaw back and forth before grabbing the cleaning supplies from the kit. "Lets clean it up first." She said as she grabbed the anti-infectant then a gauze. She pointed to a chair from behind her but didn't look towards it as she put some anti-infectant on the gauze then grabbed another one. Nah, I don't mind mothering at all. My mom never was the "mothering" type. Annie laughed as she looked behind her. "My father was more motherly than my mom." She joked before picking up the gauze and walking over to him.
"It might sting but I'm sure the bite hurts worse." She said with a smile before he lifted up his shirt and she saw the massive blood. She winced a little feeling bad, "ouch. I'm kinda glad it was one of your horses cause I'm pretty sure you'd be sewing me if it wasn't." She said before walking back to the kit and grabbing a towel. She walked over to the little kitchen area in the office and took the coffee pot that had water already heated up in it. She dampened the towel before ringing it out then walked over to Tim again and cleaning up the bite. It was a chunk for sure, and Annie was pretty sure that the chunk was probally either in Caprico's stall or in his mouth. Either way she winced at the thought. When she had finished getting off the blood on his skin she took the gauze and dabbed it over the cut. "I think you might, I can bring you." She said as she looked up and gave him a encouraging smile before taking the spray and spraying it over the cut. "Thats about all I can do for it. I can grab a bandage to keep it from bleeding but it's going to need stitches." She said as she walked over to the kit then looked back at Tim.
